Abstract

The aim of this study is to use Fuzzy Data Envelopment Analysis to assess the efficiency of colleges affiliated with Bharathidasan University. This approach suggests a framework for evaluating the best performing colleges using a combination of input and output variables. The researcher used five uncertain input variables for this study such as the number of students, number of faculty, number of qualified faculty, number of text books in the library and students benefited from scholarships as well as two uncertain output variables such as the number of students placed on campus and the number of students enrolled for Higher Studies.By using a hybrid learningprocedure, the proposed Fuzzy Inference System can construct an input-outputmapping based on the form of fuzzyif-then rules and stipulated input-output data pairs. This analysis compares the colleges and assists us in determining which one is the best.
