Abstract
This study's findings suggest that Premna tomentosa Willd (MEPT) and Premna latifolia Roxb (MEPL) extracts, when taken orally, have potent anti-oxidant, antiinflammatory, and anti-arthritic activity against the exudative and proliferative phases of inflammation. Based on the results presented here, it appears that taking methanolic extracts of the whole plants of Premna tomentosa Willd (MEPT) and Premna latifolia Roxb (MEPL) can ameliorate various stages of chronic inflammatory states when taken orally. Because of its demonstrated effectiveness across all experimental models, the current investigation lends credence to the traditional medical community's use of the whole plant of Premna tomentosa Willd and Premna latifolia Roxb to treat inflammatory conditions.
