Abstract

This article analyzes the system of local and central government of the Emirate of Bukhara in the second half of the XIX century and early XX century, the administrative-territorial division of the emirate, principalities and “amloks”, changes in the administrative division, positions and titles introduced in the system of local and central government. Issues such as the socio-political situation in the emirate, the role of the principalities in local government were studied. Issues such as the deployment of Russian citizens and troops in the Emirate of Bukhara, as a result of which the introduction of a new system of governance within the Sherabad principality were also covered.
