Abstract

Benign lesions of the jaws are quite uncommon (17%) of which odontogenic keratocyst holds the most uniqueness due to its specific clinical characteristics, histological features and aggressive biological behaviour. Presenting the readers with a distinctive case report of a rare case of odontogenic keratocyst-collateral type, which initially appeared to be a lateral periodontal cyst. Furthermore profound radiological examinations lead to a diagnosis of collateral odontogenic keratocyst.
