Abstract

Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is a solution containing ionic silver, fluoride and ammonia that arrests the progress of carious lesions and prevents the development of future caries. SDF has proven efficacy in preventing the incidence of new carious lesions.Application of SDF is painless and simple to use for young children or patients with special needs.
